Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: The State will be billed for cost incurred to administer the election. It is unknown at this time if reimbursement will be forthcoming.
Background: The results of the votes cast at the Statewide Special Election held May 19, 2009, were certified by the Recorder-Clerk-Registrar of Voters on June 2, 2009, and are submitted herewith.
Reason for Recommendation: Elections Code section 154000 states that the governing Board shall declare the results of each election held under its jurisdiction.
Action to be taken following Board approval: Elections Department will receive and file.
