Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: No changes to net County Cost, as funds for this services is included in the Human Resources Department budget for the remainder of FY 08/09.  Services to be rendered after June 30, 2009 will be included in the FY 2009/10 budget.
 
Background:
 
Reason for Recommendation: The Human Resources Department has contracted with Valentina Reiner for the provision of investigative services and other specialized personnel services on an "as requested" basis.  This amendment extends the agreement for one additional year and increases compensation by $10,000 for a total not to exceed $85,000 for the term of the contract.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval: Human Resources will forward the executed Agreement to Purchasing and Auditor-Controller's offices.  Purchasing will encumber the funds as necessary.
