Body

BACKGROUND

South Lake Tahoe is in the middle of a housing crisis which is partly attributed to the fact that more than 50% of the homes on the South Shore are vacant, used only seasonally or part-time.

Other mountain resort destinations have had success in addressing this challenge by partnering with second home owners to lease their homes through flexible leases, discount property management services and other incentives.  A rental arrangement for part of a season or longer term can make a valuable difference.
