DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The results of the votes cast at the Senate District 1 Special Primary Election held on March 26, 2019, were certified by the Registrar of Voter on April 3, 2019, and are submitted herewith.
Election Code Section 15400 states that the governing Board shall declare the results of each election held under its jurisdiction. The Election Department recommends the Board declare the results of the official canvass.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
