DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Board approved Agreement for Services 157-S1411 (Agreement) with Mark Thomas & Company, Inc. (Consultant) to provide design support during construction, finalize project records, and complete the post-construction record of survey and monumentation for the U.S 50/Silva Valley Parkway Interchange Project (Project) on October 29, 2013 (Item 6). On April 19, 2016 (Item 16) the Board approved the first amendment to the Agreement, increasing the not-to-exceed amount of the contract. On April 18, 2017(Item 14), the Board approved the second amendment, extending the term to December 31, 2019. The Consultant will complete all field work within this term, but the Record of Survey must be submitted to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for review and approval and the Consultant anticipates revisions will be needed following Caltrans' review. Department of Transportation (Transportation) is requesting to extend term of the contract to December 31, 2020, which will allow the Consultant sufficient time to work through the Caltrans review process and complete the Record of Survey.

The El Dorado County Employees Association, Local #1, has been informed of this proposed amendment.
