Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: There is no change to the net county cost. This item was budgeted as part of the department budget.

Background: The District Attorney's office has been using Accurint within the department since November of 2005. The original contract expired in November of 2006. The previous Office Manager amended the contract on an annual basis in order to make payment. In an effort to streamline the process the District Attorney's office is requesting to have the contract set up as a perpetual contract.

The delay in bringing this item to the Board is due to the conflicting opinions as to whether this was a product or service along with the on-going negotiations with the vendor to lower the fees.

Reason for Recommendation: This agreement references a 12- month term of 11/21/08-11/21/09, but shall automatically renew for successive periods of one (1) year unless either party provides written notice of termination to the other at least sixty (60) days prior to the expiration of the Initial Term or any Renewal Term.

Action to be taken following Board approval: The Chairman will sign the agreement; Procurements and Contracts shall activate blanket purchase order for the 12 month term; District Attorney will make payment upon receipt and approval of invoices....
