Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
There is no fiscal impact and no net County cost associated with this agenda item.

Reason for Recommendation:
Public utility easements shown on Swansboro Country Unit 7 final map, recorded in Book F of Subdivision Maps at Page 49, were irrevocably offered in perpetuity to the County of El Dorado in August of 1973, and said offer was accepted by the Board of Supervisors in May of 1975.

An application has been submitted by William Renard and Anneliese Renard, owners of Lot 572, requesting that the County of El Dorado Board of Supervisors vacate the 15-foot wide EID easement situated in the westerly portion and running in a northeast to southwest direction across Lot 572, also identified as Assessor’s Parcel Number 085-383-03. Said easement is more particularly described in Exhibit A and depicted on Exhibit B of the attached Resolution.

The subject property is located on Dogwood Lane, south of Mosquito Road, in the unincorporated area of Swansboro Country. Said action is necessary to accommodate construction of improvements on the subject lot.

El Dorado Irrigation District has provided the Department of Transportation (DOT) with written notification that they have no facilities within the subject area, that there is no future need for this easement, and has no objection to the proposed abandonment. All other existing easements will remain. The Department of Transportation's staff has reviewed the request and has no objection.
