DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The results of the votes cast at the Presidential Primary Election held on March 3, 2020 were certified by the Registrar of Voters on March 20, 2020. The Elections Department recommends the Board declare the results of the official canvass.
Elections Code Section 15400 states that the governing Board shall declare the results of each election held under its jurisdiction.

Auditor will pay all vote center workers, community service organizations and facilities that participated in the conduct of the March 3, 2020 election.

It is recommended that the Board approve this item.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Districts will be billed for measures placed on the Presidential Primary Election. Federal, state and county contest on the ballot are not reimbursed.
