DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
A request has been submitted by Michael W. Slater, Trustee of The Slater Living Trust dated July 27, 2018, owner of Assessor's Parcel Number 110-611-009, requesting that the County of El Dorado, Board of Supervisors, vacate public utility easements located on said property. Subject easement is more particularly described in Exhibit A and depicted on Exhibit B of the attached Resolution.

The public utility easements, as shown on Lot 9 of Marina Hill Amended Map, recorded in Book H at Page 110, were offered to the County of El Dorado by Marina Hills, A California Limited Partnership, on December 7, 1995. The easements were acknowledged and accepted by the County of El Dorado on January 23, 1996, and the Subdivision Map was recorded on January 30, 1996.

ALTERNATIVES
An alternative would be to not adopt a Resolution of Vacation for Abandonment of Easement 20-0002. By utilizing this alternative, the owner of Assessor's Parcel 110-611-009, would be unable to pursue any development that would impact subject easement.

OTHER DEPARTMENT / AGENCY INVOLVEMENT
AT&T, Comcast, El Dorado Irrigation District, and Pacific Gas & Electric have not used said portion of subject easements for the purpose for which they were dedicated and find no present or future need exists for said portion of subject easements and do not object to their vacation, and to that end, have all issued letters to that effect.
