Human Services Department recommending the Chairman be authorized to sign retroactive Contract R970535-20 with Golden Sierra Job Training Agency in the amount of $769,850 for the term February 17, 2009 to June 30, 2011, for provision of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Workforce Investment Act Program job training activities by El Dorado County as Area Partner Consortium Operator of the Golden Sierra Job Training Agency Consortium; and the Director of Human Services, or successor, be authorized to execute subsequent documents relating to said contract, including amendments thereto, that do not affect the dollar amount or the term, contingent upon approval by County Counsel and Risk Management, and any required fiscal and programmatic reports.

Contract No. R970535-20 allocates $769,850 in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds to El Dorado County for provision of augmented Workforce Investment Act Program activities during the term February 17, 2009 through June 30, 2011. $1,135,000 in revenues and corresponding appropriations is currently budgeted for FY 09-10 WIA activities. This amount will be increased through the budget addenda process to accommodate higher than anticipated regular and augmented WIA allocations, including Construction Talent Transfer, State Economic Stimulus and ARRA funds.
