DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
On January 22, 2021, the Clerk's office received written confirmation of the resignation of Member at Large Larry Nelson. A Notice of Vacancy had been posted since January 7, 2021 as the Member at Large had stated he intended to resign.
The County Fish and Wildlife Commission is comprised of seven members, appointed by the Board of Supervisors, representing each district of the five Board of Supervisors with two At Large positions. One At Large position became available with two applicants applying for the position.
In accordance with Fish and Wildlife Resolution 103-2019 adopted by the Board of Supervisors on June 25, 2019 the committee received two applications for the vacancy. The Commission reviewed the applications and made the recommendation to select Mike Denaga to fill the At Large position at the regularly scheduled January 27, 2021 Fish and Wildlife meeting.

The Board could decide not to approve this appointment.
