DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Arturo Salazar's term for the Behavioral Health Commission ended on October 24, 2020. He is seeking reappointment. There is no requirement in state law that the Commission make a recommendation for appointment or reappointment. Arturo Salazar was recently just selected as Chair for the Behavioral Heath Commission. As a result of his appointment to Chair and his desire to continue as a Member of the Behavioral Health Commission, the Board is being asked to confirm his reappointment.

The Board could decide not to appoint Arturo Salazar to the Behavioral Health Commission.
