Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: No fiscal impact or net county cost.
 
Background: The Georgetown "Safe Halloween" event, sponsored by the Georgetown Divide Recreation District, is an annual event providing a safe designated area for "Trick or Treat" activities.  The requested road closures are for the safety of the participants, volunteers and children during the event.
 
Reason for Recommendation: Transportation Department is recommending Board approval of the closure to allow for the safety and success of this community event.  No involved agencies objected to this closure.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:
1.      The Board Clerk will obtain the Chairman's signature on the Resolution.
2.      The Board Clerk will send an executed copy of the Resolution to the Department of Transportation.
3.      The roads listed in the Resolution will be closed from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Saturday, October 31, 2009 for the Georgetown "Safe Halloween" event.
