DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Historically, May has been identified as Wildfire Awareness Month, but with the increase in the severity and duration of fire season, along with the increase in visitation and associated fire risk during the pandemic, the team has pivoted to a seasonal awareness campaign as a means to educate visitors and residents throughout the season.
