Clerk of the Board, based upon the recommendation of the El Dorado County Commission for Youth and Families, recommending the Board make the following appointments to the El Dorado County Commission for Youth and Families:
1) Reappoint Barry Harwell, Public Member, Term Expiration 6/30/20222; and
2) Reappoint Terri Stratton, Public Member, Term Expiration 6/30/2022.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
A Notice of Vacancy was posted on March 31, 2021 for two public members. Three applications were received and reviewed by the El Dorado County Commission for Youth and Families (Commission).
The Commission was established by the Board on December 17, 2019. Membership includes five public members. Three serve terms of two-years and two serve a term of one-year. The two public members the Commission are requesting to be reappointed are members who have a one-year term. The reasoning behind the Commission's recommendation is that the Commission just started last year and both of these Commission only received one-year terms. This occurred solely as a result of wanting to have "staggered" terms for Commissioners. In addition, it is believed that these reappointments would maintain the momentum of the Commission as the Commission is still in the midst of deciding its core functions.

The Board could decide not to reappointment.
