DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Archaeologist Representative on the Cemetery Advisory Committee has been vacant since April 29, 2021. A Notice of Vacancy was posted on April 29, 2021 and an application had been previously submitted by Nichole Jordan. Pursuant to Resolution 128-2002 which serves as the Cemetery Advisory Committee's governing document, applicants to the archaeologist position must be "nominated by the County Cemetery Director and appointed by majority vote of the Board of Supervisors.”
Based on the review of the application, the Cemetery Director nominates Nichole Jordan for the Cemetery Advisory Committee Archaeologist Representative. The Cemetery Advisory Committee also discussed Nicole Jordan's appointment and are also recommending her appointment to the Cemetery Advisory Committee.
ALTERNATIVES
The Board could decide not to appoint.
