Summary Text:
During the agenda review process it was determined that the schedule of the Board of Supervisors meetings would better respond to the needs of departments if the November 24, 2009 meeting was rescheduled on December 1, 2009. After a discussion with Board Chairman, Ron Briggs, it was determined appropriate to consider the cancellation of the November 24, 2009 meeting and the scheduling of a regular meeting on December 1, 2009. All County departments will be advised of this amendment to the meeting schedule and the County Administrative Office will work with departments to reschedule their agenda items to the December 1, 2009 meeting. As such, staff is recommending that the Board cancel the meeting of November 24, 2009 and schedule a regular meeting on December 1, 2009.
Background:
The 2009 meeting schedule of the Board of Supervisors was adopted on December 9, 2008. Based on business necessity, the schedule of Board meeting dates is amended as appropriate.
