Body
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
In January 2016, the Board Chair executed Agreement #467 with Megabyte Systems, Inc. The historical search on the property tax website gives taxpayers the ability to review tax bill information from up to seven (7) previous fiscal years. El Dorado County did not purchase the expanded multiple years historical search option under the original contract. The current annual cost of adding this historical module for tax bill history is $2,500 per year. This feature was extended free of charge to the County for the FY 2021-22 fiscal year, and if the amendment is approved, billing will begin in FY 2022-23.

Per Policy C-17, Agreement #467 does not have a stated end date and as such, has come before the Board annually for renewal. The recommended approval of the renewal is included in item 21-1418. The amendment recommended in this item will include the addition of the historical search module and adds Tonya Digiorno as Contract Administrator, as required by the County Charter.

ALTERNATIVES
Should the Board decline to approve this amendment, the Treasurer Tax Collector would not be able to use the Tax Collector Historical Expansion Module.
