Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
The Lease Agreement will be funded by the Department of Child Support Services. The Lessor is providing a one-time incentive credit in the amount of $7,560 (equivalent to two (2) months rent).

Background:
The Department of Child Support Services is being relocated from the El Dorado Center facility, as part of the current effort to reconfigure space at that location, due to budget constraints and reductions in staff.

Reason for Recommendation:
By leasing space in the Tahoe basin, the Department of Child Support Services will be able to retain all current services offered to the public, and maintain adequate facilities for staff. The Department of Transportation currently occupies the second floor of this building, and having additional County services at this location better serves the public.

Action to be taken following Board approval:
1. Chairman to sign Lease Agreement #159-L1011.
2. Board Clerk to return the executed Lease Agreement to the Property Services unit, Facilities Engineering Division of DOT, for final processing.
