Body
Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: No change to Net County Cost

Background: On April 1, 2008 the Board awarded several contracts as a result of responses to a Request for Proposal for fire prevention and planning services.  All contracts expired on June 30, 2009.

Reason for Recommendation:  The El Dorado County Fire Safe Council and the Cameron Park Fire Safe Bureau (via the Cameron Park CSD) have not completed all projects.  The amendments to these contracts provide a one-year time extension so projects may be completed.

The Regents of the University of California have completed all projects as described in their response to the RFP but would like to use remaining funds toward the creation of defensible space demonstration lots.  The amendment to the contract with the Regents provides a one-year time extension and expands the scope to include the demonstration lots.

Action to be taken following Board approval: The Board Clerk will forward one original copy of each contract amendment to the Chief Administrative Office

Contact: Mike Applegarth (5123)

Concurrences: County Counsel and Risk Management have approved the amendments.
