DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

On November 9, 2021, the Board directed staff to work with El Dorado County Opportunity Knocks to assess potential sites for a congregate Navigation Center with an emergency shelter component, or a Pallet community run by a professional service provider and return to the Board by February 2022 with recommendations on funding sources, purchase vs. leasing options and program details.

Due to the request to delay Project Homekey to February 22, 2022, it is not feasible for staff to also report back to the Board relative to the Navigation Center and Pallet community by February. As a result staff is recommending the Board delay this report to May 17, 2022.
