Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: Installation of the speed limit signs on various roads is estimated at $500.00 and is available in fiscal year 2009/2010 Road Fund Budget.

Reason for Recommendation: Resolution No. 247-81 established speed restrictions pursuant to Section 10.08.020 of the El Dorado County Ordinance Code. Approval of the attached resolution by the Board of Supervisors amends Resolution No. 247-81 to include revisions recommended by the West Slope Traffic Advisory Committee on September 2, 2009.
The revisions at the specific sites listed below are to be carried out in accordance with the attached Resolution. Amend speed limits on:
Missouri Flat Road (No.9) forty-five (45) miles per hour from a point three hundred feet (300') north of El Dorado Road (No. 8) to State Route 49;
Pleasant Valley Road (No. 77) forty-five (45) miles per hour from Mother Lode Drive (No. 240) to a point 690 feet west of El Dorado Road (No. 8);
Pleasant Valley Road (No. 77) thirty-five (35) miles per hour from a point 690 feet west of El Dorado Road (No. 8) to a point 1,155 feet east of El Dorado Road (No. 8);
Pleasant Valley Road (No. 77) twenty-five (25) miles per hour from a point 1,155 feet east of El Dorado Road (No. 8) to the intersection of State Route 49.
Action to be taken following Board approval: Installation of appropriate speed limit signs by the Department of Transportation.
