DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
A '2x2' committee includes two elected representatives from the County and two elected representatives from another organization which in this case in the City of Placerville. Currently, the County has '2x2' committees to participate in discussions with the City of South Lake Tahoe and the El Dorado Hills Community Services District. Historically, the County also participated in '2x2' discussions with the City of Folsom.
The purpose of the '2x2' is to allow elected officials to discuss issues that jointly impact both organizations, resulting in improved communication and collaboration between the organizations.
The City of Placerville is considering appoint two members of the City Council at their January 25, 2022, Council meeting.
ALTERNATIVES
The Board could choose not to appoint Board members to the '2x2' ad hoc committee.
