DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Steve has volunteered on the Commission on Aging for ten years, serving the last seven years as its Chair. He has distinguished himself as a leader with vision and compassion, and under his leadership, the Commission has grown to be a respected voice, statewide, advocating for the older adults of El Dorado County. His commitment has encouraged members and invigorated and inspired their participation and service. Additionally, Steve’s personal involvement on the Commission has made a notable impact on crucial policies pertaining to the programs and services for the seniors in El Dorado County.
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors recognize and appreciate Steve Shervey for his ten years of dedicated service.
