Title: Probation Department recommending the Board: 1) Approve retroactive revenue State Agreement C5610389 (County Agreement 6204) (Agreement) with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Division of Adult Parole Operations, that establishes terms and conditions for the provision of services to certain parolee participants; with a term of October 1, 2021, through June 30, 2024, in the amount of $206,250; 2) Adopt and authorize the Chair to sign Resolution 040-2022, which delegates authority to the Chief Probation Officer, or designee, to execute the Agreement; and 3) Authorize the Chief Probation Officer, or designee, to administer and execute any subsequent administrative documents related to said award, including any required fiscal and programmatic reports as well as any amendments to the agreement that do not increase the total award or term of the agreement. DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
As part of the overarching efforts to facilitate the successful reintegration of individuals releasing from prison and back to their communities, the Shingle Springs Community Corrections Center (CCC) and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), Division of Adult Parole Operations (DAPO) are partnering to develop a smoother transition for individuals releasing to parole and post release community supervision.

The goal of this Agreement is to reduce recidivism and increase public safety through effective community reintegration. The programs and services provided will assist in reintroducing participants back into their respective communities. The programs and services offered at the CCC (also called “Day Reporting Center”) will address linkage to needs such as food, clothing, shelter, and behavioral health treatment needs for mental health and substance use to parolee participants as identified in their needs ...
