Elections Department recommending the Board approve and authorize the Registrar of Voters to sign the "HAVA Section 301 Voting Systems Program and Certification of HAVA Title III Compliance Agreement" Number 21G30104 with the State of California to assist the County in complying with Section 301 of the Help America Vote Act of 2002 in the amount of $11,239.97 for a term upon execution through January 18, 2025.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The funds are made available through the Help American Vote Act and will be used for things such as approved voting systems and components, voter education, official/vote center training, storage, warehousing and electronic communications between county and vote centers. The agreement of $11,239.97 reflects the remaining amount allocated to El Dorado County Elections HAVA 301 funds and extends the agreement.
The funds are available upon approval authorizing the Registrar of Voters to sign agreement through January 18, 2025.
ALTERNATIVES
The Board could not approve the grant and the funds would not be available to the Election department.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
