DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

Surveyor's Office recommending the Board:

1) Acknowledge an Irrevocable Offer of Dedication for a Public Utility Easement;

2) Acknowledge said Public Utility Easement on behalf of those public entities that will provide services, subject to the purveyor’s construction standards; and

3) Authorize the Chair to sign the Consent to Offer of Dedication and to record the Irrevocable Offer of Dedication (IOD) with the Consent attached.  Authorization for recording said Offer is pursuant to Government Code Section 7050.

 

Surveyor's Office received an application from Russell-Promontory, LLC An Illinois Limited Liability Company, for an IOD (IOD 21-0005) for a Public Utility Easement on Assessor’s Parcel Number 124-390-013, and being more particularly described in Exhibit “A” and depicted on Exhibit “B” of the attached Exhibits.  This dedication would provide for a Public Utility Easement on Assessor's Parcel Number 124-390-013.

 

ALTERNATIVES

An alternative would be to not accept the IOD.  By utilizing this alternative, no provision would be made for a Public Utility Easement on Assessor’s Parcel Number 124-390-013.

FINANCIAL IMPACT

The Surveyor’s Office collects a fee for processing the Irrevocable Offer of Dedication on a time and materials basis.  There is no fiscal impact as a result of the approval of this item.

 

CLERK OF THE BOARD FOLLOW UP ACTIONS

1) The Clerk of the Board will obtain the Chair’s signature on one (1) Consent to Offer of Dedication.

2) The Clerk of the Board will record the IOD with the signed Consent attached to the back of the document.

3) The Clerk of the Board will return a copy of the recorded IOD to the Surveyor’s Office, Attn: Jane McClusky.
