Health and Human Services Agency recommending the Board:

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND:

On January 29, 2022, Kathleen Castro donated $10,000 to the Pet Aid Fund, on behalf of her recently deceased mother, Marina Castro, who was a lover of animals. She asked that the donation be used to support the efforts by the Health and Human Services Agency, Animal Services Pet Aid Program (Animal Services).

 

This donation is gratefully accepted and will be used to continue to provide support for animals in need, especially dogs and pigeons which were especially loved by Marina Castro.

 

ALTERNATIVES:

The Board could direct HHSA to decline the donation.
