Title
Transportation Department recommending the following pertaining to the White Rock Road/Post Street Signal:
1) Direct said Department to remove the White Rock Road/Post Street Signal Project No. 73310 from the Capital Improvement Program and cease all work on the installation of a traffic signal at this location.
Body
Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: There is no net cost to the County General Fund associated with this agenda item.

Reason for Recommendation:
The attached presentation provides background information for the Department's recommendation and requests direction on the White Rock Road / Post Street Signal Project from the Board.  As discussed in the presentation, the installation of a traffic signal at this location will lead to a Level of Service F condition on this portion of White Rock Road and negatively impact the operations of the Latrobe Road/White Rock Road intersection.

Recommended Department of Transportation Next Steps:
1.  Evaluate interim striping project on White Rock Road extending two lanes through Monte Verde Drive to reduce backup of eastbound traffic at Post Street;
2.  Monitor the intersection of White Rock Road / Post Street and remove temporary all-way stop at such time as traffic impacts Latrobe Road significantly, may or may not include restricted left turn access;
3.  Explore providing full access to Montano at future signalized intersection on Latrobe Road south of White Rock Road.
