DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

In order to increase collaboration and communication with other local government agencies, El Dorado County has from time to time identified two members of the Board of Supervisors to meet with elected representatives of those government agencies, along with the City Manager/Executive Director, the Chief Administrative Officer and other staff as appropriate depending on the subject matters being discussed.

Currently, the County has “2x2” committees to participate in discussions with the City of South Lake Tahoe, the City of Placerville and the El Dorado Hills Community Services District. Historically, the County also participated in “2x2” discussions with the City of Folsom.

On April 13, 2022, the Cameron Park Community Services District contacted the Chief Administrative Office requesting the establishment of a "2x2" committee.  The Community Services District, in their request for this committee’s creation, indicated that their two elected participants would be Felicity Wood Carlson and Sidney Bazett, their Board’s president and vice-president, respectively.

ALTERNATIVES

The Board could choose not to appoint Board members to the “2x2” committee.
