Supervisor Turnboo recommending the Board accept a donation of refrigerators from the Food Bank of El Dorado County. These refrigerators will be used by the County Library to support the Community Hubs program, in their effort to give away perishable food items to those in need.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Currently the County Library collaborates First 5 El Dorado in the Community Hubs program. Available items available to library patrons are non-perishable food, diapers, baby formula, etc. Unfortunately, the County Library is not able to provide perishable items, due to a lack of refrigeration. The refrigerators donated by the Food Bank of El Dorado County will allow the County Library and the Community Hubs program to give away small perishable food items, such as, milk, juice, fruit, yogurt, etc.

The Board could decide not to accept the donation.
