DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians (Tribe) is the beneficiary of trust land entitled the "Shingle Springs Rancheria," which is located within the geographical boundaries of El Dorado County. Historically, the Tribe has contracted with the County to provide Pre-Hospital Advanced Life Support (ALS) emergency services on tribal land, specifically within County Service Area No. 7, where the Rancheria is located, and the areas surrounding the Rancheria.

The purpose of this Agreement is for the County to continue providing Pre-Hospital ALS emergency medical services in response to 911 calls for incidents occurring anywhere on the Shingle Springs Rancheria (also known as the Tribe’s Reservation) as defined in Section B of the Agreement.
