Supervisor Turnboo recommending the Board direct the Chief Administrative Officer to explore the purchase of "tiny" homes (not exceeding $1.5 million) only for those 75 residents of Grizzly Flats without insurance who lost their homes during the Caldor Fire, and report back to the Board on the feasibility, including costs and funding, within 90 days.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Many who lost their homes in Grizzly Flats by no fault of their own, as a result of the Caldor Fire, continue to struggle with finding adequate shelters for themselves and their families. Many are on fixed incomes and are now homeless. FEMA Individual Assistance has been denied three times for the victims that were impacted by the Caldor Fire. Residents in other counties that lost far less due to these horrific wildfires received FEMA Individual Assistance.

The Board could decide not to provide county staff direction.
