DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND:
The Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) Community Services Division operates an Older Adult Day Service Program known as “The Club”. The Club adult day centers provide a warm, nurturing, and friendly setting, offering a world of activity for body, mind, and spirit, which helps eligible older adults remain active and involved in the world around them. Friendships blossom while participants enjoy activities designed to add meaning to their lives, improve mental and physical function, and increase their sense of worth. The Club gives families peace of mind and a break from caregiving responsibilities.

The services provided to eligible El Dorado County residents at The Club may be eligible to receive Multipurpose Senior Services Program (MSSP) reimbursement through the execution of an Independent Vendor Agreement (Revenue Agreement 6645) with the California Health Collaborative, Inc. (CHC). CHC is the organization contracted with the California Department of Health Care Services to provide MSSP, a state Medi-Cal program which provides services and supports for seniors who need extra help to stay in their homes as long as possible.
