DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND
Property determined to be surplus to the needs of various departments is offered to other County departments in accordance with Purchasing Ordinance 3.12.190 - Surplus Pool. The attached list of "surplus property" reflects those items that remain surplus to the needs of the County. The Purchasing Agent will dispose of said property in accordance with the Purchasing Ordinance as noted in Section 3.12.210 and Section 3.12.220 thereof by means of auction, direct sale or donation.

Attachment B includes a surplus form for four medic units that were erroneously placed in the County's name. Per the contract between the County and the JPA, the JPA is the owner of all medic units and medical equipment and is responsible for purchasing and maintaining such equipment; however, the County is to be named as lien holder on the titles of the medic units. There appears to have been a clerical error at the time the JPA purchased these four units, whereby the County was listed as the owner rather than lien holder. It is recommended that the Board authorize the Chief Administrative Officer to transfer the titles to the JPA.
