DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
The Registrar of Voters is the Election Official for local jurisdictions within the county. The Elections Department can handle the consolidation of the jurisdictions' contest on the Consolidated Districts Election ballot.
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Elections Code Sections 10400 et seq. provides for consolidation of local jurisdiction elections with the Consolidated Districts Election to be conducted by the El Dorado County Registrar of Voters on November 8, 2022. Election Department has received resolutions requesting consolidation of the November 8, 2022 election from all districts.
ALTERNATIVES
Board can choose not to consolidate. Elections Department would have to conduct individual elections for each district.
