DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
A vacancy will be created by the November 30, 2022, retirement of Agricultural Commissioner Charlene Carveth. An open, competitive recruitment for a permanent Commissioner will be conducted, but in the meantime the department will need someone in the role to oversee day-to-day operations. Ms. Mila meets the minimum qualifications and is agreeable to stepping into the leadership position on an interim basis.
