All other board, committee and commission Members are strongly encouraged to participate in the training.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
On February 21, 2023, the Board directed the Clerk of the Board to make revisions to the El Dorado County Board, Committee and Commission Handbook to reflect mandatory Implicit Bias training for Members of the Assessment Appeals Board, Agriculture Commission, Civil Service Commission, Child Abuse Prevention Council and Planning Commission. The Members of these boards, committees and commissions will have six months to complete the training. If the training is not completed within the six month time frame the Member will be considered for removal from their respective board, committee or commission. The above mentioned boards, committees and commissions were identified by the County of El Dorado Conflict of Interest Code or Government Code Section 87200. All other board, committee, commission Members are strongly encouraged to participate in the Implicit Bias training.

The Board could decide not to approve the revisions.
