Chief Administrative Office, Procurement and Contracts Division on behalf of Department of Transportation, recommending the Board approve the following:
1) Award Bid 23-293-042 for the purchase of Culverts, Pipes and Couplers to the sole qualified bidder, Blain Stumpf Rock Sand and Gravel of Shingle Springs, CA;
2) Authorize the Purchasing Agent to issue a purchase contract in the amount of $150,000 for a three (3) year term following Board approval; and
3) Authorize the Purchasing Agent to increase the purchase contract on an "as needed" basis during the awarded period as long as funding is available within the requesting department's budget.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
At the request of the Department of Transportation (DOT), the Procurement and Contracts Division issued invitation to bid 23-293-042 for the purchase of Culverts, Pipes and Couplers. DOT purchases drainage materials for application to County maintained roads during inclement weather.
The Invitation to Bid was published in the County's eProcurement system, PlanetBids, with twenty-one vendors notified, three local vendors. One qualified response was received, from a local vendor.
ALTERNATIVES
Culverts, Pipes and Couplers are necessary for Department of Transportation to complete projects to maintain and replace drainage within County roadways.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
