Body

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

Julia Vanderschaaf has been providing case management and mental health services for the District Attorney's Office Victim Witness Unit under Agreement 4588 since February 2020.

On June 21, 2022, the Board approved item 22-1044 authorizing the Purchasing Agent to execute Amendment III to Agreement 4588 with licensed therapist, Julia B. Vanderschaaf, to extend the term by one year through December 31, 2023, which cumulatively exceeded the standard three-year term condition under the Purchase Agent’s authority.

The proposed Amendment IV to Agreement 4588 will update the language under Article I, Scope of Services, with no change to the term or the not-to-exceed amount. The scope of services update will allow the contractor to provide as-needed domestic violence telehealth counseling services upon the execution of the amendment.

ALTERNATIVES

The Board could choose to not approve the amendment, however, this would impact the District Attorney office’s ability to utilize Julia Vanderschaaf for domestic violence telehealth counseling services through the end of the contract term.
