Body
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Community Center was built in the late 1940s/early 1950s and the bathrooms reflect their age. Being able to modernize the restrooms and bring them into compliance with current federal regulations (ADA) will allow them to better serve the community by providing restrooms which are available and accessible for all. The monies, if allotted to the Shingle Springs Community Center, will be for the specific purpose of replacement of the water heater and the renovation of the water heater closet which is part of the larger bathroom renovation for ADA compliance.
Application can be found in attachment A.

ALTERNATIVES
The Board could choose not to approve the funding request, and no funding would be provided in support of these efforts.
