DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

The A-20 Cellular Telephone/Wireless PDAs (Smartphones) Policy was established on November 6, 2007, and was last revised on August 17, 2019.  Policy A-20 now requires several modifications to improve mobile security standards.

 

Revisions include the establishment of mobile security standards following the M365 mobile application management policies and authentication requirements, along with support parameters for both County-owned and personal mobile devices.

 

The redline and clean versions of the policy are attached.  The policy has been reviewed by County Counsel and the Information Technology Steering Committee. 

 

ALTERNATIVES

The Board could disprove or request changes to the revised A-20 Policy.
