Body
The Contract for the Christmas Valley Phase 2A Erosion Control Project (Project) was executed by the Board on August 25, 2009. The Project was completed on November 18, 2009.
 
Recordation of the Notice of Acceptance will start legal and contractual time frames for guarantees and the stop notice filing period, among other things. The estimated total cost of this Project is listed below:
 
Original Bid Price $487,449.50
Estimated Construction Contract Item Cost $471,768.63
Estimated Contract Change Orders $ 22,830.95
Estimated Final Cost of Construction Contract $494,599.58
 
Major contract change orders on this Project dealt with cutting full-size articulated concrete blocks, compensation for bid items exceeding 125% of the contract quantity, boulder busting, installing rock-lined channel, and using articulated concrete blocks at new channel areas.
 
The construction budget for this Project, as reflected in the Department's FY 2009/2010 approved budget, was $539,000.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:
1) The Chairman will sign the Notice of Acceptance.
2) The Board Clerk will send the Notice of Acceptance within ten days to the Recorders/Clerk's Office for recordation and forward a copy of the recorded Notice of Acceptance to the Department.
