Body
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Pollock Pines/Camino Community Center’s septic leach field failed several months earlier and needed to be replaced to meet all health and safety codes. The Community Center (PPCCCA) is an integral and essential venue for the community as a Certified Red Cross Venue, a PG&E Community Resource Center (CRC) for PSPS events, and cooling and warming center, an El Dorado County Voting Center, an OES staging venue for all emergency agencies during a disaster, a venue for the Senior Nutrition Lunch program, public Town Hall meetings, other county department meetings, along with private and public events, rentals & activities.

A funding agreement is required in order for the County to process the payment to Pollock Pines/Camino Community Center Association. Approval by the Board provides the finding that a public benefit is derived from supporting this endeavor, which seeks to provide an essential community venue.

ALTERNATIVES
The Board could choose not to approve the funding request, and no funding would be provided in support of these efforts.
