DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Superior Court of California, County of El Dorado (Court), first applied for the California Collaborative Justice Courts Substance Abuse Focus Grant (SAFG) Program in August of 2014. The grant is funded through the Judicial Council of California. The Court has received the SAFG every year since initial application and award.

The grant is designed to promote innovation through helping grantees maintain, expand, or enhance their collaborative courts. The program is also designed to assist the Court in using drug court principles and substance abuse treatment. The Probation Department’s (Probation) participation in this grant program will be to provide the Court with services to complete the program objectives identified in the MOU.

This revenue MOU covers the term of July 1, 2023, through August 31, 2024. Each SAFG grant award period runs from September 1 through August 31. The MOU dates overlap the grant award period due to timing of quarterly report processing and invoicing ...
