DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

On April 13, 2021, the Board directed Long Range Planning staff to process the above mentioned Zoning Ordinance amendments based on specific issues or concerns discovered during implementation. Also at that meeting, the Board directed staff to incorporate development and adoption of community-based sign standards for the Cameron Park Community Region into the Zoning Ordinance amendments project.  For details, please refer to Legistar File 21-0502 (2021/22 Board of Supervisors Long Range Planning Work Plan).

On July 13, 2021, the Board approved Resolution of Intention (ROI) No. 082-2021

(Legistar Attachment B), which authorized Long Range Planning staff to initiate work on these Zoning Ordinance amendments: Chapter 130.36 (Signs); Chapter 130.39 (Oak Resources Conservation); and Section 130.40.130 (Communications Facilities).

On December 7, 2021, the Board approved a contract with the Dudek consulting firm
