Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: None. The Sheriff's FY09/10 budget has funding appropriated for the maintenance of this product including the addition of Exhibit B, an increase of $630 annually. The expense is paid for from the Civil Special Revenue fund.

Background: In accordance with Government Code Section 54202 and the County's Purchasing Ordinance, the Sheriff's Office advised the Board on August 4, 2009 of this perpetual maintenance agreement administered by the Sheriff for the annual maintenance of a specialized software program used by the Department's Civil Section. The original agreement dates back to 1999.

Reason for Recommendation: Amendment #1 adds a document capture feature to the Civil Administration System as identified in the new Exhibit B. The amendment provides for the annual fee for software service and maintenance for this new feature. All other parts and sections of the original agreement #282-SO011 remain in effect and in full force as identified in the amendment. The agreement also continues to be perpetual.

Action to be taken following Board approval: Board Chair will sign two amendments.
