Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: No change. The Agreement is funded by the Federal/State Social Services allocation with required County match dollars met primarily with realignment resources. Funds were budgeted for FY 2007-08, FY 2008-09, FY 2009-10 and are included in the FY 2010-11 County Budget Request.

Background: Pursuant to Welfare and Institutions Code Sections 16501-16508, the El Dorado County Department of Human Services (DHS) is required to provide services that promote reunification of children and families in the County’s Child Protective Services Program. Agreement for Services #510-S0811 was approved and executed by the Board on April 22, 2008 for the provision of these mandated services on an “as requested” basis. Amendment I to this Agreement increased the maximum compensation to accommodate increased demand for services and corresponding use of this vendor’s services and was executed by the Board on October 13, 2009.
