2) Authorize the Chair to sign funding agreement 8352 between El Dorado County Air Quality Management District and El Dorado County Library.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
In September of 2023, Air Quality Management District (AQMD) released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for projects to be implemented during calendar years 2024 and 2025. The Library submitted a proposal to for a zero-emission Bookmobile project to replace end of life 2007 Ford E350 Bookmobile with an all-electric vehicle.
The Bookmobile is used to offer library services to all areas of El Dorado County, including schools, senior living facilities and community events. The vehicle will be equipped with a 140kW battery with up to 150 miles of range per charge (on level ground).
ALTERNATIVES
The Board could choose not to accept the grant funds.
PRIOR BOARD ACTION
On November 22, 2023, Legistar Item 23-2163, Board awarded the AQMD AB 2766 Projects.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no change to Net County Cost. The total project amount is $269,208, Air Quality Management District grant in the amount of $215,366 and the Library contribution in the amount $53,842 from savings in Fiscal Year 2023-24 budget.
CLERK OF THE BOARD FOLLOW UP ACTIONS
1) The Clerk of the Board will obtain the Chair's signature on two (2) originals of each Agreement.
2) The Clerk of the Board will forward one (1) original of each Agreement to the Library Department and to the Air Quality Management District.
