In the recent recruitment for the Assistant Chief Administrative Officer an excellent candidate has been identified to fill the position. The CAO has the authority to offer up to 3rd step. However, offering fourth step essentially replicates the candidate's current salary with a modest increase of less than 5%. The CAO budget can absorb this increase within their FY 10/11 budget target.
